Highlights (January to December 2024)

December 2024) Since 2022 Education Sector partners through Flood 2022 recovery Response have reached 730,430 children and 24,969 adults (44.5% girls and women) across 59 flood-affected districts from 2022-2024. Among them, 593,453 individuals were reached in 34 prioritized flood response districts.

In 2024 alone 349,492, children (47 % girls) and 11,559 adults (38 % women) reached through Floods 2022 recovery response activities.

Under Refugee Response Plan 2024, the Education sector partners provided formal and non-formal education access to 87,168 children (49 % girls).

The Pakistan Education Sector Anticipatory Action Pilot was submitted to Education Can Not Wait (ECW), with UNICEF selected as the lead grantee and Save the Children as a sub-grantee.

Multi-Year Resilience Programme (MYRP) grantees (UNICEF, RSPN and VSO) supporting education of over 280,000 children (including 56% girls, 17% refugee children and 6% Children with Disabilities (CWDs) in Balochistan and KP. The Pakistan AA pilot was showcased at the 12th Global Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Humanitarian Action in Berlin and the ECW-hosted event at CoP29 in Baku, highlighting sector efforts to strengthen preparedness and minimize disruptions in education.
