Realizing that the recovery in the aftermath of last year’s floods will be a continuing process and the country’s vulnerability to climate shocks in the future, the IRC is sparing no efforts to create climate-resilient communities. The IRC has set up field offices in all four of the most heavily flood-affected provinces and has been working closely with the Government of Pakistan, the International Community, and local partners to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable populations in 13 districts across the country. Through its services in health, protection, food/water, non-food items, multipurpose cash assistance (MCPA), hygiene; the provision of dignity kits, life skill training, psychosocial support sessions, hygiene related sessions, safe drinking water; and the establishment of medical camps and safe spaces, the IRC has thus far far reached 837,684 individuals.
