The Islamic Republic of Iran on Thursday donated dlrs 50,000 for flood victims in Pakistan.
Visiting Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh handed over a check for fifty thousand dollars to his Pakistani counterpart Amanullah Khan Jadoon in Islamabad.
The Iranian oil minister is in Pakistan for talks on the proposed multi-billion-dollar Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project as well as import of Iranian gas for Pakistan's domestic consumption.
Heavy floods affected areas in Pakistan's Northwest Frontier Province and Northern Areas.
Pakistan's Petroleum Minister Jadoon thanked his Iranian counterpart for the donation and hoped that the sum will help the affected families.
Reports said floods have displaced more than 200,000 people in Pakistan, inundating 200 villages.
Iran is the first Islamic country to announce donation for Pakistan's flood victims.
