Since 2019 RI has been supporting Afghan refugee's children in access to the quality and safe primary education in three districts of KP province. Over the past three years, RI has enrolled 9,195 Afghan Out of School Children (51% girls).

RI is supporting the education services delivery through school's rehabilitation, teachers and education official training, schools supply, capacitating and functioning the existing Parent Teacher's Councils through extensive training packages. RI is regularly assessing and documenting key barriers to education for refugee children.

ACCELERATED LEARNING PROGRAM (ALP)

RI is establishing ALP centers for children who have missed out on school and desperately require a second chance at education to provide a better future. The primary-ALP program requires 30-32 months to complete primary education and student will be able to catch-up with elementary education later on. Relief International is engaging fully on-board members of Parent Teachers Councils (PTCs), Afghan Community Forums (ACF), parents and caregivers for all this program.
