Nov 8 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Pakistan at 1445 GMT on Saturday:

*MOHMAND - Pakistani troops killed eight militants who attacked a security checkpoint in the Mohmand tribal region on the Afghan border, a security official said. Separately, militants blew up a bridge linking Mohmand with the main northwestern city of Peshawar.
NORTH WAZIRISTAN - Pakistani Taliban militants killed two Afghan men in the North Waziristan tribal region on suspicion of spying for U.S. forces and dumped their bodies by a road, security officials said.
*BAJAUR - The military used artillery and fighter jets to attack militants in several districts of the Bajaur region, near the Afghan border, killing 13 militants, paramilitary officials said. There was no independent confirmation of the casualties.
*SWAT - Militants killed three soldiers in an ambush on an army convoy in the Matta district of the Swat valley, northwest of Islamabad, military officials said. A military spokesman said 15 militants were killed in subsequent artillery fire in the same district. Police said eight civilians were killed in the fighting.
There was no independent confirmation of the casualties.
