The emergency needs of those internally displaced due to the conflict in the North and the regions neighbouring Afghanistan, as well as those of populations affected by food insecurity and recurrent floods, must continue to be addressed.
It is imperative to assist in the process of voluntary repatriation and international protection of Afghan refugees, including preservation of asylum space, alternative stay arrangements and resettlement.
Protecting humanitarian space and ensuring neutral, impartial and independent action, in line with basic humanitarian principles is a priority.
There is a need to continue mainstreaming Protection, Disaster Risk Reduction and Linking Relief, Rehabilitation and Development in the humanitarian response.
The coordination of humanitarian efforts must continue to be strengthened.
