Today’s Highlights

• A total of 2,629 families with 11,841 individuals were registered on 7April, 2012.

• Demands for inclusion of Barqamberkhel in the registration process, led to disorder and stone throwing in the listing area. Police fired weapons in the air. There were no casualties.

Situation Overview

On-going security operations in Khyber Agency resulted in a new influx of IDPs which began on 20 January, 2012. With the intensification of the security operation in mid-March, a fresh wave of IDPs started approaching Jalozai Camp on 17 March. Newly displaced families are con-tinuing to arrive in Jalozai in great numbers and this trend is expected to continue in the coming days.

Registration and provision of assistance remains the priority of UNHCR and its partners.
