CM appreciates armed forces efforts for restoring peace

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan had a meeting with the Corps Commander Peshawar at Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar where they discussed matters of mutual interest. The Corps Commander congratulated the Chief Minister on assumption of his charge as the Chief Minister of the province.

The Chief Minister appreciated the armed forces for launching operation Zarb-e-Azb in cleansing terrorists and restoring peace in the region adding that the forces including the police, the people from all walks of life paid a heavy price in the fight against terrorism. All backed the armed forces in the operations for the restoration of security in the seven merged districts of the erstwhile tribal areas of the province. His government had a plan for the maximum relief to the people who suffered in the process, he added.

Mehmood Khan highlighted the blueprint of his government’s vision for the expeditious development of the province said his government has all the potentials required for leading this province to emerge the most stable federating units of the country. It will exploit all the natural resources of the province to lead this province towards sustained economic growth, he added.

Chief Minister said the PTI government would develop certain scenic spots throughout the province on tourism lines and will go all out to explore and exploit the natural resources of the province for the generation of maximum jobs for the jobless youth of the province adding that it was one of the priority areas to integrate the entire province through road communication that will accelerate the overall economic development of the province.

Mehmood Khan also spoke about the speedy streamlining of seven newly merged districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through a consistence progress on FATA reforms developing and laying down infrastructure for education, health and other social sectors. Employment would be strictly made on merit and there would be no deviation from the stated stance of his government for posting right person for the right job. His government would encourage the competent people to come forward, be part of the team and developed their own future, he asserted.

Chief Minister said his government would go all out for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of flood hit areas and proper compensation would be given to the affectees. He assured to evolve a stable and transparent system of delivery giving no margin to corruption, nepotism and irregularities. Educational institutions, health institutions and social sector institutions would be extended to areas where these did not exist. The system of giving relief would be refurbished expending its sphere of delivery everywhere to give relief to the people in real sense.

Furthermore Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan has directed the district administration Chitral to immediately submit a comprehensive and complete report regarding losses of lives and property due to flood in the area. He said that we stand by the people of Chitral in this difficult time.

He also appealed to PTI workers to come forward for the help of their Chitrali brothers and sisters so that the victims of the flood do not feel alone in this miserable condition. Mehmood Khan directed the concerned officers to conduct a detailed survey and identify the losses. He directed to prepare an overall recovery plan in order to compensate the flood victims on time.

Moreover Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan has directed the police officers to establish a comprehensive and complete security shield for the province so that peace prevails and the people could perform their routine tasks without any fear. He directed for efficient traffic policing in Peshawar. In a meeting with Inspector General of Police Muhammad Tahir in his office Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar, he directed that peace and security is our main target which could not be compromised as peace leads to overall development and prosperity.

Mehmood Khan said that this is the vision of Imran Khan to provide easy and speedy justice to all and sundry without any discrimination. Compromising peace is compromising security, development and prosperity of the society. Chief Minister said that the people of this province suffered a lot because of manmade and natural calamities but proved their resilience.

The people have showed great confidence over PTI for progress and prosperity. People have great expectations from us. We have to show our performance according to the vision and mission of Imran Khan and we have to satisfy the public demands, he added.

He said that all the departments have to play their role in the provision of a system based on public prosperity, national development and justice. In this connection, police and law and order agencies can play vital role because peace is indispensible for development. He wanted an efficient traffic policing system in Peshawar as the people keep on suffering.
