[Video] ECHO projects with women in Gaza and the West Bank

07/03/2013 - ECHO and Action Against Hunger (ACF) have been working together to improve the lives of women living in Palestine. Through graduate work placement, women in Gaza and the West Bank have been able to gain valuable paid work experience in kindergartens, after school clubs and as lab technicians. These women have not been able to find paid work since graduating from University. ECHO and ACF have also been improving access to water for women and their families in the West Bank, especially for Bedouin communities who often do not have access to piped water supplies. By rehabilitating cisterns and water pipelines and latrines, families and especially women do not have to walk far distances to collect water for cleaning, cooking and gardening. In Gaza, ACF and ECHO have provide water filtration systems at the homes of kidney disease patients, ensuring they have access to clean water.
