All information updated for 4 – 10 March 2026 [1]
Days 877 - 883 since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip

Highlights

The Gaza Strip

  • The security situation in the Gaza Strip remains unstable, with humanitarian partners on high alert amid the regional escalation of conflict. Multiple airstrikes, shelling, and gunfire resulting in casualties were reported across the Gaza Strip during the reporting period, especially in the eastern parts of North Gaza, Gaza City, Bureij, and Khan Younis. According to the Ministry of Health (MoH), as reported by OCHA, between 26 February and 5 March, 18 Palestinians were killed and 41 injured.
  • All crossings into Gaza except for Kerem Shalom remain closed. Medical evacuations are still on hold, and a limited number of commercial supplies have been permitted to enter. Delays and closure have caused shortages of fuel, driven up prices, and increased reliance on humanitarian assistance.
  • The recent Protection Cluster Snapshot indicated that protection risks affecting displaced populations across Gaza continue to be driven by inadequate shelter conditions, overcrowding, unsafe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) environments, and limited access to essential services, contributing to sustained safety concerns and deteriorating living conditions in displacement sites.

West Bank, including East Jerusalem

  • Three Palestinians were shot and killed by Israeli settlers in the West Bank on 7 March, marking six deaths as a result of settler violence since the beginning of 2026. While much of the occupied West Bank remains under heightened movement restrictions since the outbreak of the regional conflict on 28 February, violence and harassment by Israeli settlers towards Palestinian communities have continued unabated.
