HIGHLIGHTS
- Since 2 March humanitarian aid has been blocked from entering Gaza, severely impacting essential supplies like food, water, and medical aid.
- Since 18 March hostilities have intensified, resulting in 390,000 people being newly displaced with no safe place to go.
- In the West Bank, Israeli operations displaced 40,000 people, severely impacting families’ daily lives, safety, and access to healthcare, education, and other essential services. UNICEF and its partners provided water to over 1.5 million people in Gaza.
- In March, UNICEF provided cash assistance to 19,664 families (133,189 people, including 76,473 children) in the Gaza Strip, to help meet their essential needs. UNICEF delivered limited basic services, including health and nutrition support, through static and mobile facilities and remaining supplies, which are now running out.
