The loss of life in Gaza due to the attacks following the tension that started on October 7, 2023, reached 30,410 (70% of those who lost their lives in Gaza are women and children). 1.7 Million Palestinians, approximately 75% of the population of the Gaza Strip, were forced to leave their homes and the number of injured reached 71,700. 60% of the residences in Gaza were damaged in the attacks.
Approximately 73,000 housing units (flats) were completely destroyed and 290,000 housing units were damaged. And also 394 education facilities, 135 health facilities, 11 bakeries, 124 ambulances, 132 water wells, 208 mosques and 3 churches were targeted by attacks.
Turkish Red Crescent has supplied a total of 16,212,139 USD in aid (containing the three air shipments, seven marine shipments, medical supplies and generators allocated to the Ministry of Health and local procurements) to Palestine-Gaza since October 7, 2023, benefiting more than 1 Million individuals.
A total of 2,737 tons and value of 6,052,122 USD in the form of food parcels, hygiene sets, shelter units, tents, various medical equipment are being delivered to the Gaza Strip through Egypt with the seventh marine shipment, MARIN that set out for Egypt on March 7, 2024.
