PRIORITY NEEDS
The child protection sector urgently needs to respond with a comprehensive package of services to the following grave concerns:
• Unaccompanied and separated children
• Children being injured/killed by conflict (inc. ERWs/UXOs)
• Children being detained by authorities
• Children with disabilities being marginalised in the humanitarian response
• Increasing cases of GBV (including child marriage)
• Psychosocial and emotional distress/trauma amongst all children • Socio-economic crisis and frustration amongst the population leading to an uptick in child abuse, neglect and exploitation (including the most hazardous forms of child labour)
• Socio-economic crisis leading to increase of neglect and exploitation (inc. most hazardous forms of child labour)
• Lack of legal documentation, including children who were born after October 7th, preventing freedom of movement and access to life-saving services
• Lack of essential resources, including clothing for children (winter and summer)
• Ensuring essential support is available for frontline workers that have been displaced multiple times and suffering immense psychosocial distress
