Recent Developments

Gaza Strip:

Disclaimer: The information in this report is limited, and only represents the available data which PRCS teams could gather directly or from various credible information sources . This limitation is due to communication disruptions and extreme difficulties in accessing information sources • Today, the Israeli occupation forces targeted the main southern entrance of Al-Amal Hospital, resulting in the complete destruction of the brick fence and a vehicle belonging to the PRCS, rendering it out of service.

• The ongoing violations against medical facilities persist, with the occupation forces targeting and completely burning down the Patient's Friends Charity Hospital in Gaza City, exacerbating the suffering of medical staff amidst a deteriorating healthcare infrastructure in the northern governorates of Gaza.

• Al-Amal Hospital is grappling with acute shortages of fuel and medical supplies while addressing a volume of injuries that surpass its operational capacity by a factor of more than five. The situation is further exacerbated by the fact that only one operating room is currently functional, posing a significant threat to the lives of those in need of medical care within the facility.

• The Israeli occupation forces persist in their deep incursion into the Khan Yunis Governorate, maintaining a siege on the central region, including Al-Amal neighborhood, for the 21th consecutive day. Al-Amal Hospital is under a full blockade, with military vehicles and tanks stationed at its entrances and subjected to consistent targeting. This has led to the enforcement of a curfew around the premises, compelling the displaced individuals to vacate the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) building and fully evacuate under duress and the threat of gunfire, all under the guise of establishing a "humanitarian corridor." Additionally, medical and relief personnel are hindered from conducting operations beyond the confines of PRCS's main office, with the displaced population facing imminent risks from the deliberate targeting by the Israeli occupying forces and the heavy concentration of drones hovering over the area.

• The various means of communication including landline, cellular, and Internet communications were cut off for more than 28 days in Khan Yunis Governorate, which led to the connection difficulties within PRCS various crews, (including the operations room), in addition to telecommunication cut with the external world.

• During the past few hours, the occupation forces committed 16 of massacres against citizens, which led to an increase in the number of massacres carried out against Palestinian families to more than 2438 massacres from the beginning of the aggression until today, resulting in thousands of martyrs and tens of thousands of wounded, and the lists of hundreds of families erased from the civil registry.

• PRCS OPS, EMS, rescue and relief, and Paramedics teams are all experiencing sporadic internet outages at our headquarters and Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Yunis. These disruptions are a direct consequence of the recent assaults by the Israeli occupation forces on the areas in the vicinity of the hospital.

• 2 PRCS EMS centers in Gaza and Northern Gaza have been put out of service ceasing to provide any services including emergency response and rescue upon running out of fuel along with the Israeli occupying forces restrictions of access of the working medical teams. Moreover, Hospitals in the governorate are put of service as well and it is impossible to conduct any humanitarian evacuation.
