Highlights
• On 23 September, the ETC team organized an online meeting with the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) to share updates and needs on internet connectivity and Security Communications Systems (SCS), including implementing Track24 devices. The meeting also focused on the plan and needs for implementing 2025 security communications and internet connectivity services.
• On 18 September, the first batch of 25 satellitebased tracking devices―Track24―was transported into Gaza with the Special United Nations Official (SUNO) mission. Of these 25 devices, 15 are assigned for World Food Programme (WFP) operations, and ten will be handed over to other UN agencies as a loan to support their mission movements in Gaza.
• On 19 September, the ETC secured a pre-clearance from the Israeli authorities to import 78 Track24 devices to Jerusalem. The pre-clearance will expedite customs clearance upon arrival at the Tel Aviv airport. The devices are being dispatched from the United Kingdom (UK) to Jerusalem
