On the sidelines of the inauguration of Red Crescent Youth Organization’s recreational camp of Zeiton, Dr. Mohammad Farhadi, President of the Iranian Red Crescent Society explained, “We had good humanitarian relief aids to Gaza through the pipeline of the International Federation and a number of ambulances have been procured to be sent to Gaza to assist Palestinian Red Crescent in its operations”, “Furthermore we finally managed to get permission to send to Gaza a shipment of 72 tons of relief goods including tents, blankets, ground mats and canned food and other health commodities such as medicines and medical equipments and distributed them among the people of Gaza. Cash donations have also been provided by the Iranian Red Crescent to the Palestinian Red Crescent to supply and meet the immediate requirements of needy people in Gaza Strip” he also added.
Pointing out to several requests of assistance received from Palestinian side, Dr. Farhadi stated “One of the current needs of the Palestinian Red Crescent is ambulance that the Iranian Red Crescent is going to purchase 10 ambulances and send them to Gaza in close coordination with the International Federation”,
“The procurement of electricity generator, water tanker, the reconstruction of Gaza and deployment of Red Crescent ERU BHCU by the Iranian Red Crescent is on the process for more support and assistance, as well”
