Who we are:
The Gaza Debris Management Working Group (DWG) coordinates and supports debris management efforts across the Gaza Strip, facilitating risk-managed, efficient, and responsive debris works. The focus being to clear debris from priority areas whilst promoting circularity-with recycling of the debris into reconstruction materials. Co-chaired by UNDP and UNEP, with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MOPWH) playing a key role, the DWG facilitates coordination, develops standard protocols, and shares information across all members. A key achievement is the Gaza Debris Management Framework, endorsed by participating organisations to ensure demolition and debris removal activities align with its requirements.
