In the Occupied Palestinian Territory, children and their parents have to brave their way to school, facing obstacles and violence few would know even exist. Since 2019 in the West Bank, over 50,000 Palestinian children have been affected by education-related incidents arising from the Israeli occupation.
In the first nine months of 2022, the Education Cluster has verified 227 education related incidents that range from children being detained on their way to school to tear gas being fired at schools. 2022 also witnessed the demolition of two schools in the West Bank.
