REPORTING PERIOD: 1ST JANUARY 2024 – 30TH JUNE 2024

  • The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control & Preventions (NCDC) continues to monitor reports of yellow fever cases in Nigeria.
  • A total of 100 suspected cases were reported from 72 Local Government Areas (LGAs) across 22 states. The states include Abia (7), Adamawa (2), Akwa Ibom (1), Anambra (14), Bayelsa (10), Benue (6) Cross River (2), Edo (12), Ekiti (13), Enugu (6), Imo (4), Kwara (4),Lagos (1) Nasarawa (2), Niger (3), Ogun (2), Ondo (2), Osun (2), Oyo (1), Plateau (3), Rivers (2) and Taraba (1).
  • Three (3) Presumptive positive cases were reported within the reporting month from the Central Public Health Laboratory, Lagos [2] and University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin [1] within the reporting month. These cases were reported from: Ekiti (2) [ Ijero-2] and Bayelsa (1) [Nembe-1].
  • No inconclusive case was recorded within the reporting month.
  • No confirmed cases were recorded within the reporting month.
  • No death was recorded among suspected cases in the reporting month.
