HIGHLIGHTS
REPORTING PERIOD: 1 ST JANUARY 2025 – 31 ST JANUARY 2025
▪ The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control & Prevention (NCDC) continues to monitor reports of yellow fever cases in Nigeria.
▪ A total of 221 suspected cases were reported from 145 Local Government Areas (LGAs) across 33 states and the FCT. The states include Abia (5), Adamawa (1), Akwa Ibom (4), Anambra (5), Bauchi (11), Benue (5), Borno (8), Cross River (4), Delta (1), Edo (5), Ekiti (5), Enugu (10), FCT, Abuja (4), Gombe (3), Imo (3), Jigawa (46), Kaduna (2), Kano (6), Katsina (26), Kebbi (10), Kogi (4), Kwara (7), Lagos (2), Nasarawa (1), Niger (5), Ogun (7), Ondo (6), Osun (3), Oyo (4), Plateau (8), Rivers (3), Taraba (6), and Zamfara (1).
▪ One (1) Presumptive positive case was reported from the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) Benin City (1). This case was reported from: Rivers -1 [Port-Harcourt (1)].
▪ One (1) inconclusive case was recorded from Yusuf Dantsoho Memorial Hospital (YDMH) Kaduna (1). This case was from Jigawa -1 [Kaugama (1)].
▪ No confirmed case was recorded within the reporting month.
▪ No death was recorded from both suspected and confirmed cases in the reporting month
