• Persistent conflict, widespread displacement, macroeconomic pressures, and recurrent climate shocks collectively fuel a protracted and complex humanitarian crisis in Nigeria.

• WFP assistance reduced by 15 percent in February 2026 compared to same period last year due to limited resources.

• In February, WFP could only deliver food assistance across 40 percent of the 22 LGAs prioritised for 2026 HNRP response,

• WFP continue to provide food assistance to meet urgent needs and asset creation initiatives to strengthen resilience and food systems.
