Epidemiological Summary
The total number of suspected cholera cases reported as at 1 st November 2018 stands at 5,683with 73 associated deaths, (CFR – 1.28%). 2210 in Jere, 1,313 in MMC, 340 in Magumeri, 34 in Kaga, 157 in Konduga, 136 in Chibok, 11 in Shani, 42 in Damboa, 1041 in Ngala, 89 in Askira-Uba, 161 in Kwaya-Kusar, 56 in Bama, 57 in Dikwa and 36 in Guzamala LGAs. No additional case reported from Magumeri, Kaga, Chibok, Shani, Damboa, Kwaya-Kusar and Bama LGAs.
Out of the 178 samples collected and tested in the State using RDTs, 143 (80%) were positive while 33 (37%) of 88 samples were culture positive.
