Epidemiological Summary

The total number of suspected cholera cases reported as at 29 th October 2018 stands at 5,513 with 73 associated deaths, (CFR – 1.32%). 2174 in Jere, 1,283 in MMC, 341 in Magumeri, 34 in Kaga, 155 in Konduga, 136 in Chibok, 11 in Shani, 42 in Damboa, 1027 in Ngala, 88 in Askira-Uba, 161 in Kwaya-Kusar, 56 in Bama and 53 in Dikwa LGAs. No additional case reported from Kaga, Chibok, Shani, Damboa, Askira Uba, Kwaya-Kusar and Bama LGAs.

Out of the 169 samples collected and tested in the State using RDTs, 136 (80%) were positive while 33 (37%) of 88 samples were culture positive.
