Epidemiological Summary

The total number of suspected cholera cases reported as at 22nd October 2018 stands at 5,274 with 73 associated deaths, (CFR – 1.40%). 2079 in Jere, 1,124 in MMC, 339 in Magumeri, 34 in Kaga, 142 in Konduga, 136 in Chibok, 11 in Shani, 42 in Damboa, 1007 in Ngala, 88 in Askira-Uba, 161 in Kwaya-Kusar, 56 in Bama and 53 in Dikwa LGAs. No additional case reported from Magumeri, Kaga, Chibok, Shani, Damboa, Kwaya-Kusar and Dikwa LGAs.

Out of the 169 samples collected and tested in the State using RDTs, 136 (80%) were positive while 33 (37%) of 88 samples were culture positive.
