Sahel: An overview of the Humanitarian Response Plan for the Sahel 2015 [EN/AR]

Originally published

High levels of chronic vulnerability persist in the Sahel. Early 2015, an estimated 20.4 million people are food insecure in the region. Acute malnutrition is expected to threaten the lives and development of 5.8 million children under five years of age. Violent conflicts and insecurity caused 2.8 million people to flee from their homes, over a million more than early January 2014. Here is how humanitarian teams plan to respond to support the Sahel's most vulnerable.
