Highlights
In providing sustained, equitable access to quality health services and thus responding to people’s needs in the most severely affected population in BAY states, the valuable efforts of the government, donors, and partners have been unrelenting. As we move toward transition, mental health and psychosocial support are still important areas that require a lot of attention because these conditions can persist for a long time after trauma. Attention must be paid to the requirement for psychotropic medication supplies in order to assist mental health teams in providing outreach services in difficult-to- reach areas.
Coordination & Leadership:
-
Finalization of Lean Season Documentation, project analysis, and budget costing across the BAY states.

Development of the Cholera-Flood Anticipatory Plan for Resource Mobilization,
-
Setting up partners and SMOH coordinated CSM outbreak response structure in Yobe State.
-
Successful disbursement and approval of NHF 2023 First Standard Allocation to implementing partners.
-
Engagement with donors to discuss the comprehensive needs of the health sector, the changes occurring in the health sector coordination structure relevant to the evolving context, HDPN, and transition.
