IOM Nigeria’s DTM unit conducted Biometric Registration in Ngala Local Government Area (LGA) of Borno State covering Arabic Village Camp, International School Camp and neighbouring host community sites. A total of 26,796 households (89,171 individuals) were registered, with an overall average family size of 3.3 individuals. 39 per cent of the families comprised of 1–2 members, 38 per cent of the families comprised of 3–4 members and 24 per cent of the families had 5–9 members.
During the registration exercise, the enumerators collected vulnerability data to identify individuals that may require additional assistance. Out of the total population registered, about 10 per cent are people having at least one of the vulnerabilities. These figures are indicative and obtained by interviewing the head of household in the presence of other family members.
