Nigeria: Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Emergency Tracking Tool (ETT) - Summary of Movements in Borno State, Dashboard: 449 (23 - 29 June 2025)

Between 23 and 29 June 2025, 315 new IDP and Returnee arrivals were recorded in locations across Borno State. The new arrivals were found in Askira/Uba, Bama, Biu, Chibok, Dikwa, Gwoza, Hawul, Kala Balge, Monguno and Ngala local government areas (LGAs). The ETT assessments identified the following movement triggers: fear of attack (181 individuals or 57%), poor living conditions (49 individuals or 16%), improved security in place of origin (44 individuals or 14%), family reunification (31 individuals or 10%), and attack (10 individuals or 3%). The new arrivals comprised 204 children (65%), 90 women (28%), and 21 men (7%). Approximately 21 percent originated from inaccessible locations (hard to reach due to insecurity), while the remaining 79 percent came from accessible areas.
