Within the period of 3 - 9 December 2018, a total of 5,139 movements were recorded, including 4,523 arrivals and 616 departures. Arrivals were recorded at locations in Askira Uba, Bama, Chibok, Damboa, Dikwa, Gubio, Gwoza, Jere,Kaga, Konduga, Kukawa, Mafa, Magumeri, Maiduguri, Mobbar, Monguno and Ngala Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Borno state and locations in Demsa, Fufore, Girei, Gombi, Guyuk, Hong, Lamurde, Madagali, Maiha, Mayo Belwa, Michika, Mubi South, Numan, Song, Yola North and Yola South LGAs of Adamawa state. Departures were recorded at Askira Uba, Bama and Kukawa LGAs of Borno state and Demsa, Fufore, Girei, Gombi, Hong, Lamurde, Maiha, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, Numan, Song, Yola North, and Yola South LGAs of Adamawa state.

ETT assessments identified the following movement triggers: voluntary relocation (14%), improved security (13%), Military operation (1%), farming, insecurity and involuntary relocation (3%), ongoing conflict (45%), poor living conditions (17%) and fear of attacks (9%).
