Within the period of 30 January to 5 February 2018, a total of 4,150 arrivals, and 590 departures were recorded at locayions in Askira/Uba, Bama, Chibok, Damboa, Dikwa, Fufore, Girei, Gubio, Guzamala, Gwoza, Hawul, Hong, Jere, Kaga, Kala/Balge, Konduga, Kukawa, Madagali, Mafa, Magumeri, Maiha, Michika, Mobbar, Monguno, Mubi-North, Mubi-South, Ngala, Nganzai, Yola-North, and Yola-South LGAs in Borno and Adamawa States.
The main triggers were poor living conditions (27%), voluntary relocation (27%), ongoing conflict (24%), improved security (20%) and military operayions (2%).
