Synopsis (short abstract)

This Data in Emergencies Monitoring (DIEM-Monitoring) report shares the results of the second round agricultural inputs survey conducted in August 2024 in Nigeria. The survey was conducted across Adamawa, Borno, Yobe and Zamfara states to gather insights into the dynamics characterizing the supply of agricultural inputs including difficulties that affect agrodealers and their needs. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations established the DIEM-Monitoring system in June 2020. In 29 of the world’s most food-insecure countries, DIEM-Monitoring enumerators collect data at household level on shocks, agricultural livelihoods, food security and needs several times a year through computer-assisted telephone interviews and face-to-face surveys. This regularly collected and granular data is easily accessible in the form of dashboards, maps, briefs and aggregated data on the DIEM Hub, enabling partners and stakeholders to trigger immediate mitigation and response actions.
