Highlights
• Through remote troubleshooting, the ETS supported the humanitarian hub manager in Monguno to resolve a faulty satellite phone which had lost connection notification causing disruption of communication between hub manager and the Security Operations Centre (SOC). Connection and communications on the satellite phone have now been restored.
• Following a report of a slow internet performance caused by the newly installed firewall system in Bama on 18 December, the ETS swiftly diagnosed and isolated the device consequently restoring the internet performance. The connectivity is now fully operational with optimum performance.
• Following the depletion of the solar hybrid batteries leading to an increase power downtime causing cut off in internet connectivity and security communications, the ETS on 18 December replaced the depleted batteries at the Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Maiduguri with new lithium-ion batteries.
