HIGHLIGHTS
· Following the deployment of a new Internet Service Provider (ISP) at seven deep field locations, the ETS has updated the network diagrams for the sites in Bama, Banki, Gwoza, and Ngala, effective from 02 April. These updates reflect changes in system architecture, including new IP addresses, ISP installations, and decommissioning of old ISPs. ETS will continue updating diagrams for all field locations to ensure accurate representation of its network infrastructure.
· In response to funding challenges, ETS is proactively adapting its operations in the short, mid and long-term. The sector is collaborating with partners to relocate equipment as offices close or in anticipation of similar events. The sector plans to conduct assessment missions and evaluations to optimize its services, identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, and reduce costs while maintaining service quality..
· On 02 April, the ETS restored disrupted communications at the Maiduguri SOC by fixing an issue with the control room software that enables two-way radio communication. Later in April on 22, the ETS team investigated an intermittent power outage at the Maiduguri SOC and identified a faulty air conditioning charging system linked to the power inverter, which requires replacement.
