Nigeria: Civilians killed in attacks in the north-east

More than 70 civilians were killed yesterday and others wounded in an attack in a village in the north-east Nigeria area of Gubio in Borno State, 80 kilometres from the capital, Maiduguri.
A motorized armed group raided Gubio, over the course of five hours, destroyed homes and stole more than 1,000 head of cattle. Some residents were killed, set ablaze in their homes, while many more were shot as they tried to escape.
