Following the bus station bombing in Nigeria last week and the kidnapping of school girls in the north of the country, the situation in Nigeria remains very tense.
The attacks from Boko Haram and the army's offensive against the Islamist group Boko Haram has pushed thousands of civilians to cross the border into Niger. This is in addition to the already important influx of refugees in Niger since the beginning of 2014.
There are approximately 1000 new arrivals each week. The displaced population from Nigeria in Niger is now reaching around 50 000 of which approximately 15 000 are refugees.
