NCDC Cholera Situation Report Monthly Epidemiological Report 8 Epi Week 25: (17 June 2024 - 23 June 2024)

Week 25 Highlight

• 113 new cases were reported, 7 deaths with CFR = 6.1%

• 3 States Lagos (104), Ogun (7) and Katsina (1) reported cases of Cholera within the Epidemiological week

In the reporting month,

• States have reported 576 suspected cases of Cholera, Lagos (533), Ogun (19), Rivers (9), Katsina (8), Oyo (2), Abia (2), Bayelsa (2) and Sokoto (1)

• 32 Deaths was recorded with CFR = 5.6%

• 217 Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDT) were conducted with 17 positive results

• 232 stool culture tests were conducted and with 28 positive results

• National multi-sectoral Cholera TWG continues to monitor response across states
