On 08 February 2025, armed bandits attacked the communities of Kware, Gobirawa and Alarawa Inwala in Kware ward of Shinkafa local government area (LGA) of Zamfara State. The attack affected 1,519 individuals across 320 households and displaced 924 individuals from Kware to Gidan Gona IDP camp in Shinkafa South ward and 595 individuals from Gobirawa and Alarawa Inwala to the community Badaraw in Badaraw ward. The affected individuals included 850 children, 371 women, and 298 men, resulting in 12 injuries and 11 fatalities.
