In the current Lassa Fever outbreak, sixteen (16) States (Ogun, Bauchi, Plateau, Ebonyi, Ondo, Edo, Taraba, Nasarawa, Rivers,
Kaduna, Gombe, Cross-River, Borno, Kano, Kogi and Enugu) have reported at least one confirmed case – Figure 1 -
As at week 15 (April 8- 14, 2017), the outbreak isactivei in 13 states (Bauchi, Plateau, Ebonyi, Ondo, Edo, Taraba, Nasarawa,
Kaduna, Gombe, Borno, Kano, Kogi and Enugu). Cross River State has completed 42 days (two incubation periods) with no new confirmed case reported and the outbreak is over in the State. -
Since the onset of LF outbreak in Dec. 2016 (Week 49), a total of 159cases have been classified as: confirmedii (144) and probableiii (15) with 66deaths (51 deaths in confirmed and 15 in probable) recorded.

Case Fatality Rate in confirmed and probable cases is 41.5% and18.3% for all cases (including probable, confirmed and suspected).

In the reporting Week 15 (April 8-14, 2017), three (3) new suspected cases were reported in Kano (1) and Bauchi(2) States with Nine(9)new laboratory confirmed cases reported in 7 States-Nasarawa (1), Edo (2), Ondo (1), Bauchi (1),Kaduna(1), Kano(2) and Enugu (1).
