Heavy rainfall has been affecting western Niger, in particular Maradi, Tahoua and Tillabéri Regions, since early July, causing floods that have resulted in casualties and damage.
UN OCHA report, as of 19 July, seven fatalities, more than 660 collapsed houses and a total of nearly 5,700 affected people across the three aforementioned regions.
Over the next 48 hours, more rainfall is forecast over the far south-western Niger, including the already affected Tillabéri Region.
