- Heavy rainfall has been affecting western Niger, in particular Maradi, Tahoua and Tillabéri Regions, since early July, causing floods that have resulted in casualties and damage.
- UN OCHA report, as of 19 July, seven fatalities, more than 660 collapsed houses and a total of nearly 5,700 affected people across the three aforementioned regions.
- Over the next 48 hours, more rainfall is forecast over the far south-western Niger, including the already affected Tillabéri Region.
