1. Situation Update

According to the latest figures from the Government of Nepal, 7885 people have been killed and 803 have been injured (http://drrportal.gov.np : 16:00 local time).

As of 7 May, Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP) reports a total of 9 health facilities completely damaged (3 hospitals, 3 primary health care centres, 250 health post and sub health posts and 13 Ayurvedic facilities). MOHP also reports 527 health facilities have partial damage (19 hospitals, 38 primary health care centres, 459 health posts and sub health posts and 11 Ayurveda facilities) .

A total of 1035 Village Development Committees and 60 Municipalities have been affected by the earthquake, according to 7 May 2015 report of Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS). NRCS estimates 091 019 families affected and 645 798 families displaced .

As of 7 May 2015, 7621 of 7680 bodies have been handed over to families and relatives. Roughly 30 are at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital and are being identified
