Pakistan’s relief assistance to Nepal (5 May 2015)

NDMA dispatched further two C-130 aircrafts today as part of sustained relief operation to Nepal earthquake affectees.

The humanitarian assistance comprised of 700 tents and 400 kg of medicines. NDMA is making all possible efforts to ensure immediate transportation of shelter to address the much needed support and assistance for the affectees of Nepal Earthquake.

So far, eight C-130 relief Flights have been operated. These included Army Field Hospital of 30 beds with field doctors and paramedics, 38 Men army USAR team with necessary equipment, medicines and 3,000 packs of Meals Ready to Eat (MREs) for different communities / stranded tourists, 1,550 tents, 215 standardized Food Packs (contents included Rice, Milk Powder, Biscuits, Sugar, Ghee/Oil, Lintel, Tea Bags, Matches, Salt etc) and 1,000 blankets.
