Since 1 July, heavy rainfall has affected parts of Nepal, triggering landslides, causing floods and severe weather-related incidents and leading to casualties and damage.

According to the Disaster Risk Reduction Portal of Nepal (DRR), a total of 23 people have died, of whom 12 died due to landslide events and 11 in severe weather-related incidents. In addition, 56 people have been injured, almost 1,670 families affected, and 130 people displaced.

For the next 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall is expected across most parts of the country, particularly in the central areas.
