In recent days, heavy rain and thunderstorms have impacted parts of Nepal, causing casualties and damage.
According to the Nepal Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Portal, between 9 and 10 April, nearly ten people lost their lives and 12 others were injured due to thunderstorms across eight districts in the provinces of Sudurpashchim, Madhesh, Koshi, and Lumbini.
Over the next 24 hours, moderate to locally heavy rainfall is expected across most parts of Nepal, except in the southwestern regions of the country.
