The Logistics Cluster, when activated in a sudden onset emergency, is responsible for providing logistics coordination, information management; and, where there is a gap in logistics infrastructure, it acts as a ‘Provider of Last Resort’ by offering common logistics services to support the humanitarian community in their response operations.

Logistics Cluster Coordination Meetings are currently regularly held in Kathmandu, Deurali (Ghorka District), Charikot and (Dolakha District). The Meeting schedule is available on Logistics Cluster website (http://logcluster.org) and on https://nepal.humanitarianresponse.info/

The Logistics Cluster has an Information Management Officer in Kathmandu. Information is disseminated daily through a dedicated mailing list and via the Logistics Cluster website. To subscribe to the mailing list: http://logcluster.org/nepal. A GIS officer is also available in Kathmandu. Logistics mapping requests can be forwarded to the Logistics Cluster team.

A Consignment Tracking Officer is stationed in Kathmandu to monitor cargo movement and storage requests.
