The humanitarian impact is still increasing following floods and landslides that have been affecting eastern Nepal since 3 October.
The UN OCHA reported, as of 8 October, 51 fatalities, of whom 37 in Ilam district due to landslides, six missing people, and 47 injured people. Approximately 4,059 households have been affected, and some major highways have been cut off due to landslides.
On 9 October, more rainfall is expected over the whole country; drier conditions are forecast on 10 October.
