Myagdi landslides survivors receive support

Babiyachaur (Myagdi), June 19: The landslides survivors of Bhagwati-2 and Ramche-9 in Myagdi have received financial support worth Rs. 600,000 from two hydel projects on Thursday.

The people had been rendered homeless after landslip from the Kafaldanda hills swept away their settlements last month. The support was provided by the Upper Danki Hydropower Company and the Upper Kaligandaki Hydropower Project.

A team led by project directors Dibya Man Shrestha and Liyang Thong of Upper Danki and Upper Kaligandaki respectively handed over the amount to Chief District Officer Tek Bahadur KC.

The district natural disaster relief committee has also distributed food stuff including flour, biscuits and the like to the landslides survivors, who are presently taking shelter in a community forest in Khorioya of Piple-4 in the district.
