Note: 15th most affected district (Lamjung) was added as of 3rd May officially, however, below data MOFALD collected reflects only 14 Districts. The data will be updated daily.

DDCs – 15 most affected District

  • Dolakha and Sindhupalchok DDC office main building is damaged and need support for office space

  • Out of 435 DDC staff, 67 are reported as affected (more information awaiting)

Municipalities – 43 municipalities in the 15 most affected Districts

  • Bhaktapur municipality building is completely damaged

  • 4 municipalities(Ramechhap, Manthali, Chautara, and Melamchi)’ buildings are partially damaged

  • Out of 393 accounted municipality staff (more information of total staff is awaiting), 52 are reported as insured – supplemental staff capacity is required

VDCs – 632 VDCs in the 15 most affected Districts

  • 111 VDCs do not have VDC secretary and 1VDC secretary injured, and 1 died, hence their humanitarian response capacity is very limited. Immediate provision of VDC secretary to respond to the needs of the people is required.

  • So far 72 VDC offices are totally damaged (Sindupalchok accounts for 33 VDC offices), 97 VDC offices are partially damaged, and only 60 are reported to be functional. Immediate support to the totally damaged/partially damaged VDC offices are required for them to be able to be functional to respond to the needs of the people, coordinating aid influx and take leadership on early recovery.
