MCC is sending 93 hospital beds, 1,111 newborn kits and 4,000 baby blankets to help stock a new maternity wing of Patan Hospital in Lalitpur, Nepal. The Lalitpur district hospital, where MCC workers Fred and Cyndi Langworthy serve, is owned by the government and jointly operated by a local board and United Mission to Nepal (UMN), an umbrella organization for development work. The shipment also includes around 3,000 pounds of soap and hospital supplies such as gowns, crutches, canes, walkers and wheelchairs.
