30 rescuers of the Iranian Red Crescent in 6 specialised search and rescue teams are on standby for despatching to Nepal. As well, 40 tons of IRCS humanitarian relief items including tents, blankets, water and food are loaded for sending to Nepal as part of humanitarian help of the Iranian Red Crescent in response to Nepalese quake.
The Iranian Red Crescent’s Secretary General, Ali Asghar Ahmadi, sent a “sympathy and condolence” letter to his Nepalese Red Cross counterpart Ratna Dhakhwa on late Sunday to express his condolences to the bereaved families of victims and voice readiness of the Iranian Red Crescent to render help to the quake-stricken people over the deadly earthquake on late Saturday. He also conveyed Iranian Red Crescent’s readiness to provide rescue and other support.
A massive earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale shook Nepal on late Saturday killing and injuring many people.
