A 7.9 Earthquake at a shallow 11km depth brought calamities to the 6 million people living in the populated Nepal. The earthquake also impacted parts of nearby China and India, however Nepal sustain the most damage. As of today, many reported up to 2,500 people died while news from remote villages are yet to be heard as access and communications have been cut off.

HOPE worldwide Nepal has been serving the people through a school for many years, trying to provide opportunity and hope for the communities for a better future. They responded quickly and opened up the school for some families to stay there after their homes destroyed.

Coordinating with International efforts, HOPE worldwide is responding to the Government of Nepal’s request for help. We are mobilizing resources to help the people in need.
